Reputation-based governance
Although many have studied various incarnations of Internet–basedreputation systems, past analyses have mostly been piecemeal in methodand have focused only on market applications. In an article publishedon First Monday in September 2007, Lucio Picci proposes a general"reputation–based governance" framework that has interesting propertiesand implications. The concept also provides useful insights on theissues of openness (as in "open source" software) and of participativeforms of design and production.
